Clearing the air

The question which comes to our mind is often why should seafarers be trained in the use and adoption of clean fuels.

When oil was adopted as a fuel, the implementation was gradual and easy. The crew did not have to undergo training in handling or bunkering of oil fuels.

Why is the handling of clean fuels critical and requires the crew to undergo training and familiarisation?

The ability to explain the key concepts simply and effectively is required to facilitate the easy and effective implementation of clean fuels by the crew.
